More chunky rings
This ring, from Blue Hour Designs, is made from recycled silver.
Blue Hour, in Boulder, Colorado, is so-called because of the French term “l’heure bleue” meaning twilight – the favourite time of day of the Blue Hour jeweller Alysia Sanchez Melnikov.
It was finding this ring that alerted me to Blue Hour’s designs. The rutile quartz, sitting on the silver, has masses of criss-crossing black lines that still allow you to see the silver below.
Sadly, when I checked at the Blue Hour shop this particular ring called Down the Line was sold out but there are so many other wonderful designs there.
What’s inspiring is that besides the designs being so beautiful, Blue Hour make every effort to be environmentally friendly, replacing chemicals with natural products, and also using recyled precious metals.
When you go to the Blue Hour website be sure to leave time to read their blog – subtitled Musings on Life and Design. It contains some glorious photos depicting laid-back weekends in Colorado.
