Following on from the beach hut pins last week, and how you feel about the sea when you grow up seeing it only rarely: a friend was recounting the visit of two small children recently who live a long way from the sea. The one year old plunged straight in, up to his neck. The five year old was more anxious – “There’s too much water, Aunty Carol”, she said plaintively, ” I don’t know what to do with it all!”
That set me thinking about other jewellery that’s a reminder of the sea.

Recycle Week Chunky Jewellery
Even with all the talk of what a littering nation we are, I hadn’t realised that we’re in the middle of Recycle Week. What a great opportunity to talk about some of the recycled jewellery I’ve found recently, besides Emma Northcott’s creations from plastic bags and inner tubes.
