The 37 bus in south west London used to be known as the banana route – you wouldn’t see one for ages then a whole bunch of them would come along together. Something similar happens with jewellery. I can’t remember seeing any pewter jewellery then as soon as I write about the Omani necklace in the British Museum shop I stumble upon the work of Trish Woods.
